[Workday Cloud Platform] is being used across the entire organization as a platform for employees to learn new things, manage their performance reviews such as asking fellow colleagues for feedback on [their] performance, giving colleagues feedback, manage cyclic reviews, and also [managing] absence leaves. [Workday Cloud Platform] serves as a single platform for all these tasks combined and eases day-to-day work.
  • It's very easy to ask fellow colleagues for their feedback on your performance and to give your colleagues your feedback.
  • It's simple to apply for absence leaves and gives full visibility into the different types of leaves that are left.
  • Your cyclic reviews are always stored in [Workday Cloud Platform], so you can always [go there] and refer to them.
  • The UI looks a bit outdated and can be made more user intuitive.
  • The process to view performance feedback given by employees is not the most efficient as it requires several clicks and is kind of counterintuitive.
It's a great platform for performance and HR management. It also serves as a platform for employees to learn new things. I think it's not the best tool to manage your finances and there are better tools in the market to suit those capabilities.

We currently use the system across our entire company. We use it to not just process payroll but also for our compensation, talent and performance, and recruiting needs. It is our main system of record for the company.
  • Searching for virtually anything is super easy
  • The reporting tool is very comprehensive
  • Workday does well in listening to needs via brainstorms
  • The reporting tool could be more user friendly. Maybe a drag and drop or easier for creating those calculated or conditional fields which can be a struggle
Compared to other systems I have used in the past this really is the Cadillac of HRIS systems. The user friendliness of it for the field from self-service to manager service is great

It is majorly being used as a People Management Tool to manage all the HR related activities across various departments. This is a solution to bring all activities at one place from recruitment/onboarding to Exit formalities. Also, it solves majority of problems of an employee as they can directly apply for leaves and can see all the documents in one place.
  • Easy to track everything like leaves, appraisals and performance.
  • The User Interface is very smooth and easy to use.
  • It supports mobile devices as well like Android and IOS.
  • Integration with different applications is a bit challenging.
  • Process flow is difficult to understand and hence implement.
  • Some of the features could be difficult to find.
This is very well suited only for large organizations if you want a platform to track everything at one place without any hassle. It is not very much suitable for startups or companies with limited number of employees.

Workday Cloud Platform is used by the entire organization for track, manage and integrate employee information with other software and systems in the organization. It makes the life easier for both the employees and management by bringing all the human capital management tasks in a single interface. We can fill timesheets, check our payroll and investment declarations, apply for leaves, nominate colleague for rewards and give recommendations and shout outs. It is also integrated with our recruitment platform so that all human capital related information is captured at a single place.
  • Clean and intuitive interface
  • Ability to create surveys to gauge employee sentiment and then also able to analyze the responses in a presentable manner
  • Ability to analyze all the employee data right from recruitment to performance appraisals and then using cutting edge Machine Learning to predict and recommend personalized learning paths for each employee
  • Machine Learning along with Natural Language Processing can be used to classify different tasks into categories required by the organizations. This will help people to prioritize tasks in the inbox without spending a lot of time sifting through it.
  • User interface should have been customizable so that one can customize at least some of the elements on the interface
  • Pricing is very high for a medium sized organization to afford
Workday Cloud Platform is primarily suited for large organizations with individual teams handling various Human Resource functions. Since the data is scattered, Workday is an excellent tool to bring all the data to a single platform and then use Machine Learning techniques to generate both descriptive and prescriptive insights to make sure the skillset portfolio remains updated.

It is being majorly used as a people management platform for us. All the important pages ranging from personal profile to learning are linked from it. Is it also used to assign company-related tasks like any mandatory training, form filling up, etc. Workday is also responsible for the onboarding of an employee, as all data needs to be filed and verified. Primarily, we are using pages like my profile, my learning, holidays, claims, etc. It is like a go-to page for all activities and helps a lot. We are also using it for partial time tracking. Why I say partially is because we are only tracking leaves in this application and a different one is used to actual report time. All in all, it is a pretty easy-going application without too much complexity.

  • Adding too much functionality on the same page can make it difficult to read.
  • Some time 3rd party links required cache clearing.
  • Favorites tab got wiped out twice.
I would say the current scenario in which I am using this application is well suited. It could be very well used as the center stage for hosting links for all other major applications/software. It is extremely user-friendly and easy to use for even a new user. Its notification feature can be used effectively for urgent or important tasks.

Workday is being used across the organization by one and all to manage multiple purposes. It is used for employee performance, as a feedback management tool, and as a leave tracker tool. One can very conveniently apply for leaves in advance or any past dated leaves. One can also download the leave record in Excel to have a quick glance at their leaves or their team applied and pending leaves. Additionally, one can also view the payslips and, if required, it can be used to download the payslips in PDF format.
  • The platform is quite intuitive to use, even a new user would find be comfortable navigating through different options.
  • As a lead, you can easily track the performance, leaves, and any recruitment in process.
  • The objective setting process and providing your inputs onto the same is pretty organized, easily accessible. Additionally, one can easily navigate through the historical objectives and performance feedback whenever one wants to review.
  • The UI is a tad slow to process and react, one may have to wait for the application to respond after initiating the action.
  • The dashboards, like the leave summary tracker dashboard, could have more options both operationally and visually for a user to quickly go through the data for self and team.
  • When inputting time for time tracking, inputting hours could be made easier and more convenient.
Basically, it is a clean and neat UI that allows you to track your and your team's performance, leaves, and personal information stored within the company database. An individual can also view a summary of their leaves—applied, pending classified as per the organizational structure. Similarly, it allows you to see a summary for your team as well. We also use it for integrating our company-wide learning resources and any pieces of training that are required to be completed by the team. Our organization uses it to notify individuals and individuals can comfortably access it from there.

Workday is being used across the whole organization as every organization needs a Human Capital Management Program. This is an amazing tool as all the human resources activities can be integrated into this like onboarding, payroll management, performance management, expenses, etc. This is incredibly helpful in saving a lot of time and energy in the long run.

  • The procedure to implement new workflows is bit hectic.

This is the best-suited tool for organizations with a good number of employees as for HR it is very difficult to handle all the activities. So it provides a great interface and saves a lot of time for both employees and HR for the daily HR activities like time management or pay management.

Workday Cloud Platform is primarily used to integrate multiple and varied processes across human talent management department at our organization. However, it is widely used by all employees for various day to day tasks e.g. payroll, annual reviews, performance management, and employee profile management. Overall it is one stop solution for human resource management at our firm.

  • Simple tasks e.g. printing of key documents is very convoluted in Workday
  • We expect more options to sort tasks in inbox
  • Dashboards are rare and again very crowded. More informative dashboards will be good
The platform is extremely well suited to combine and integrate talent management processes on one interface. However, it definitely needs simpler ways to perform key tasks eg. printing of documents or sorting inbox, etc... Overall it is a very useful product for large and multi-national organizations with employees spread across the globe.

Workday Cloud Platform is being used by our entire company. Workfront used Workday before we were acquired by Adobe, but Adobe also uses Workday. It helps with every aspect of our benefits. We also use it to track time for payroll. That is something new with Adobe, but it was an easy transition and the app is also very user friendly.

  • In terms of time tracking it could be a little easier to enter your daily hours.
  • In terms of their app, it could be more customizable.
It is very user-friendly and covers almost everything when it comes to Employee/People Management. I know exactly what coverage I have and the coverage of each person in my family. It makes it very easy to know what you are paying in taxes and how much money is coming out of each paycheck. It puts everything, all of your personal information at your fingertips.

Workday Cloud Platform is used throughout the entire organization. We use it as a means for hourly workers to clock their hours, for employees to submit time off, for HR to send out offers and hire in employees and more. It creates a main source for employees to turn to for any HRIS needs.
  • Ease of Use for Hourly Employees - It is very easy and intuitive for hourly employees to clock in and out, track their hours, submit time off and so on. The app just recently underwent an update that made it even easier to clock in and out quickly with access from the homepage.
  • Inbox feature - Workday will send you tasks to your Workday inbox and guide you through completing them step-by-step. It makes learning new process and tasks all the more easy when you have a guide to help.
  • Customizable dispositions for candidates - The recruiting department will use completely customizable dispositions for job application candidates. This is a great feature for those hiring.
  • Glitching - Occasionally the app will glitch and shut down completely. Sometimes it can be when you are in the middle of something timely, causing frustration and issues. I haven't seen this happen as often recently.
  • Inbox - It would be helpful if Workday developed a feature to organize inbox tasks based off what department they are for, what the task is and so on. So you can quickly filter or look for the task at hand.
  • Candidate Tracking - Hiring managers throughout the company work with the HR department to track candidates, schedule interviews and so on. Workday does not always have the best interface in this regard. It could use a feedback feature for hiring managers to be able to be more involved, as they can be on other platforms.
The Workday Cloud Platform is best suited for larger companies that have mass amounts of employees to keep track of and many departments to hire for. I would not recommend Workday for a startup or smaller company. The HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) abilities are best used in large companies that have large needs from across the business that need to rely on one source.
